St John Cymru to provide ambulance cover at Ironman Wales

8th September 2017

St John Cymru-Wales will be deploying ambulances, first aiders and paramedics to cover the course of Ironman Wales this Sunday (10th September), as thousands of athletes from around the world line up to compete.

As the nation’s leading first aid charity, St John Cymru-Wales is an official provider of medical cover for the annual triathlon event, which takes place in Pembrokeshire.

St John Cymru-Wales crews will be making sure help is at hand along the challenging cycle and marathon course, which takes in rural routes in and around Tenby.

Chief Executive for St John Cymru-Wales, Keith Dunn OBE, said:

"We are pleased to be part of this global event, which we have supported for a number of years.

"Our volunteers will be on duty to make sure competitors, and spectators, stay safe and enjoy this sporting spectacular.

"St John Cymru-Wales would like to wish all those involved good luck for a successful event."
