Community and Events Fundraiser

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £24,591 - £28,214 (plus excellent benefits)

Contract: Permanent 35 hours a week

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious individual who has a passion for fundraising in the community and at events. The role provides an exciting opportunity to work within a new national fundraising team and spearheading and supporting the growth of income through the channels of event fundraising, volunteering and community engagement.

As the Community and Events Fundraiser, you will oversee the development and implementation of a volunteer supported community fundraising plan. You should be highly motivated and enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to engage a range of supporters and volunteers to promote the work and vision of St John Cymru Wales through the delivery of local and national fundraising initiatives and campaigns.

Fundraising Assistant

Location: Cardiff

Salary: c £19k per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

St John Cymru is moving forward into an exciting new chapter as a charity with a new identity, mission and values and we’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for charity fundraising to join our team.

The role sits at the heart of the fundraising team to provide fundraising and administrative support to the team and help develop and grow income through activities, events and campaigns. The role will provide an opportunity to work across various fundraising disciplines and to be involved in projects including our face to face fundraising campaigns, volunteer fundraising and special events.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries, providing excellent stewardship and will be responsible for developing our supporter journey and the administration of our income generating activity both centrally and through our many local groups.

Part Time Commercial Trainer

Location: South Wales

Hours: 21 per week

Salary:  £20,190 - £22,779

To enable us to continue to meet our customer’s needs, St John Wales is seeking motivated and qualified trainers with a passion for teaching and the aspiration to make a difference. The post holders will have experience in delivering at least one of the following subjects; first aid, health and safety, mental health.

The ability to speak welsh will be an advantage.

You will be part of the commercial training team tasked with delivering training to Organisations across Wales to generate income, in order to support the organisations charitable work. Falls Assistant

Location: North Wales, Rhyader and Wrexham

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary:  £9.53 per hour (plus 20% night shifts)

St John Cymru-Wales are currently seeking a number of Falls Assistants provide a timely and effective response to patients that have fallen. The Falls Assistant often work independently, however, will be expected to work as part of the wider team when required.

The Falls Assistant is responsible for providing a basic patient assessment at scene along with utilising basic manual handling procedures to assist the patient safely from the floor in conjunction with Welsh Ambulance Service (WAST) and Clinical Contact Centre (CCC) and other members of the wider team.  Following assessment at scene the Falls Assistant will work closely with the Hear and Treat clinicians to ensure patients receive the most appropriate treatment and/ or onward referral.

Freelance Trainer (Casual basis)

To cover all of North Wales, including Wrexham, Llandudno & Abergele

As St John Cymru grows and develops we are seeking motivated and qualified trainers with a passion for teaching and the aspiration to make a difference. The post holders will have Level 3 Award in Teaching, Training and Assessing Learning, and will have delivered a minimum of 3 courses in the last year, eg: First Aid at Work including any Health and Safety Courses and hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate.

The ability to speak Welsh will be an advantage.

You will be part of the commercial training team tasked with generating income in order to support the organisation’s charitable works as well as supporting the Charity’s vision of there being a First Aider in Every Home in Wales.
