Business Manager
(Maternity Cover, 6-12 months)

Salary: £28,474 - £31,062 (pro rata)

Based: Cardiff

Hours: Full Time 35 hours per week.

We are seeking a Business Manager to oversee, develop and support the commercial training & supplies and community engagement activities of St John Cymru Wales and to contribute to our vision of having a first aider in every home in Wales.

The post holder will have experience in working in a commercial environment, preferably in the field of health and safety and/or training as well as experience managing high quality, results focused teams of employees and/or volunteers.

You will be leading the commercial team responsible for generating income in order to support the organisation’s charitable works and the community team tasked with raising awareness of the importance of first aid and increasing the number of people who have these life-saving aid skills in the community. Youth Development Officer: Badgers (5-11 year olds)

Maternity Cover, Until April 2020

Salary £22,442 plus benefits

Cardiff based – 35 hours per week

The Youth Development Officer: Badgers will be responsible for supporting services and developing programmes for children aged 5-11 years in Wales. They will work closely with a team of paid staff and volunteer Youth Leaders to produce and deliver a safe, engaging and valuable youth programme and national calendar of events.

You will possess the necessary skills and experience to monitor and maintain the Super Badger Programme ensuring its relevance to its target audience, dealing with required administration, offering volunteer support, as well as developing new opportunities and promoting good practice. A willingness to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and staying away overnight will be required.

Freelance Trainer (Casual basis)

To cover all of North Wales, including Wrexham, Llandudno & Abergele

As St John Cymru grows and develops we are seeking motivated and qualified trainers with a passion for teaching and the aspiration to make a difference. The post holders will have Level 3 Award in Teaching, Training and Assessing Learning, and will have delivered a minimum of 3 courses in the last year, eg: First Aid at Work including any Health and Safety Courses and hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate.

The ability to speak Welsh will be an advantage.

You will be part of the commercial training team tasked with generating income in order to support the organisation’s charitable works as well as supporting the Charity’s vision of there being a First Aider in Every Home in Wales.
