Fundraising Assistant

Location: Cardiff

Salary: c £19k per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

St John Cymru is moving forward into an exciting new chapter as a charity with a new identity, mission and values and we’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for charity fundraising to join our team.

The role sits at the heart of the fundraising team to provide fundraising and administrative support to the team and help develop and grow income through activities, events and campaigns. The role will provide an opportunity to work across various fundraising disciplines and to be involved in projects including our face to face fundraising campaigns, volunteer fundraising and special events.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries, providing excellent stewardship and will be responsible for developing our supporter journey and the administration of our income generating activity both centrally and through our many local groups.

Trust, Foundation and Grants Fundraiser 

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £23,988 - £27,522 annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

St John Cymru is moving forward into an exciting new chapter as a charity with a new identity, mission and values and we are seeking to appoint a talented and ambitious individual who has a passion for fundraising through the creation of innovative and inspiring proposals and applications.

The role provides an exciting opportunity to work within a growing fundraising team. Spearheading and supporting the growth of income through the channels of trust, grant and foundation fundraising, you will lead on the relationship between St John Cymru and Trusts and Foundations, lottery funders and commissioning bodies.

With a strong focus on communication and writing skills the successful candidate will lead on identifying funding opportunities, building relationships and maximising our potential to receive funding from trusts, foundations and other grant making organisations. You will manage and monitor your own workload, managing relationships, making compelling and successful applications to funder,   and developing and providing appropriate donor care plans supporter journeys and funding reports as required.

You’ll have good experience of working within a fundraising environment and be passionate about a career in fundraising; keeping abreast of trends and developments in the grant making field through the best possible sources.

Commercial Trainer

Location: Wrexham and to Cover North Wales

Hours: 35 per week

Salary:  £20,190 - £22,779

To enable us to continue to meet our customer’s needs, St John Wales is seeking motivated and qualified trainers with a passion for teaching and the aspiration to make a difference. The post holders will have experience in delivering at least one of the following subjects; first aid, health and safety, mental health.

The ability to speak welsh will be an advantage.

You will be part of the commercial training team tasked with delivering training to Organisations across Wales to generate income, in order to support the organisations charitable work. Communications and Marketing Assistant

Hours: 35 per week

Salary:  £16,049 - £18,379 a year

Location: Cardiff

As a part of a small but growing marketing and communications team, you’ll be great at adapting and wearing lots of different hats, helping to achieve overall charity goals.

Working in a fast paced and creative environment, as a people person you’ll have a passion for getting to the heart of a story and know how to shout about it.

You’ll enjoy talking and sharing information and love to get to know people, especially journalists.

With an appetite for writing, you’ll know how to take a bite out of jargon and adapt it to suit different audiences - engaging with everyone from internal teams and managers to volunteers and the public too.

Passionate about sharing ideas and social media, you’ll be full of tweets and likes and know how to record and monitor the progress of your actions.

As someone who is super organised, you’ll be the best at sourcing quotes, liaising with external agencies and achieving deadlines, with an eye for detail you’ll report errors to the Media and Communications Manager.

Freelance Trainer (Casual basis)

As St John Cymru grows and develops we are seeking motivated and qualified trainers with a passion for teaching and the aspiration to make a difference. The post holders will have Level 3 Award in Teaching, Training and Assessing Learning, and will have delivered a minimum of 3 courses in the last year, eg: First Aid at Work including any Health and Safety Courses and hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate.

The ability to speak Welsh will be an advantage.
