Commercial Trainer

Salary Circa: £19,892 - £24,992

Based at Cardiff/Newport (To cover all of South Wales).

Full Time 35 hours per week.

St John Cymru is seeking a motivated and qualified trainer with a passion for teaching and the aspiration to make a difference. The post holder will have experience in delivering first aid and / or health and safety subjects.

The ability to speak Welsh will be an advantage.

You will be part of the commercial training team tasked with generating income in order to support the organisations charitable works as well as supporting the Charity’s vision of there being a First Aider in Every Home in Wales. Patient Care Assistant (PCA)

Location: Cardiff

Hours:  35 Per Week

Salary: £8.21 per hour

St John Cymru is Wales’ leading first aid charity supported by commercial training, supplies and ambulance services.

We are currently seeking a number of Patient Care Assistants to support the growing Patient Transport Team. Areas to cover will be South Wales working from Norbury Road, Fairwater Cardiff.

As a Patient Care Assistant you will assist the Urgent Care Attendant in the transportation of non-emergency ambulatory and stretcher patients who require a minimum level of care and assistance.  As part of the role you will be expected to transfer patients to and from specific locations, as specified on a day to day basis; liaising closely with hospitals/care staff to provide a high quality service to our clients and maintain the professional image of St. John.

No previous medical experience is required, just a caring attitude and a friendly and willing disposition.

Trainer (Casual basis)

Volunteer Order Administrator

Location: Cardiff

St John Cymru is Wales’ leading first aid charity. With over 4000 volunteers we provide emergency first aid, deliver medical cover at events and train people of all ages in vital first aid skills, so they can make a difference in times of need.

St John also has a Royal Order of Chivalry, namely the ”Order of St. John”.   The Order was established over 900 years ago and has Priories and Associations all over the world.  The Priory for Wales has over 800 Order members.   

The role of the Order Department is to oversee the affairs of the Order.  This includes the administration of all honours and awards, organising ceremonial events such as investiture services, award presentations and royal visits, assisting with archive queries and providing support to St John Councils throughout Wales.  

We are currently seeking a volunteer to provide routine administrative support.  The person required will need to be IT proficient (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), be organised and thorough, with good attention to detail.  You will be a good communicator and enjoy the challenges of an interesting and varied role. 

Typical tasks include using databases to maintain members’ records, producing certificates and communicating with members via telephone, email and letter.

The post is based at our National Headquarters in Cardiff.
